Praktijk Ben-Ami processes personal data that: • Are provided directly by the individual, either in person (during a meeting or event), by phone, or digitally (via email or website forms), such as contact information or other personal data; • Are obtained with the individual's consent from other healthcare providers or referrers; • Are captured during audio/video recordings of psychotherapy sessions.
3. Purpose of Processing
Praktijk Ben-Ami processes personal data for the following purposes: ​ • To execute a medical treatment agreement (geneeskundige behandelovereenkomst) and handle billing for services rendered; • To maintain contact, including sending invitations for events and information requested by the individual; • To protect confidential information.
4. Legal Basis
Praktijk Ben-Ami processes personal data based on one of the following legal grounds:  • The individual's consent (toestemming), which can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing before withdrawal; • Execution or preparation of a medical treatment agreement (geneeskundige behandelovereenkomst), including billing to third parties such as health insurance companies (zorgverzekeraars); • A legal obligation (wettelijke verplichting), such as the requirement to maintain a medical record or register a Citizen Service Number (Burgerservicenummer, BSN); • A legitimate interest (gerechtvaardigd belang), such as using contact information to send event invitations.
5. Data Processors
Praktijk Ben-Ami may engage service providers (processors/verwerkers) to process personal data exclusively according to Praktijk Ben-Ami's instructions. Praktijk Ben-Ami enters into data processing agreements (verwerkersovereenkomsten) with processors that meet the requirements of the GDPR (AVG).
6. Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Praktijk Ben-Ami shares personal data with third parties when necessary for treatment (e.g., referrals/verwijzingen) or to comply with legal obligations (wettelijke verplichtingen). Praktijk Ben-Ami does not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes unless an event is organized in collaboration with another organization. In such cases, only necessary contact information is shared.

Praktijk Ben-Ami does not transfer personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (Europese Economische Ruimte, EER) unless necessary.
